Track udhaar so “I’ll return it” does not disappear

Lending ₹2,000 to a friend is easy. Remembering it three weeks later is not — especially when it lived in a chat you both scrolled past.

NestSplit treats udhaar as its own record: who owes you, how much, and whether it is still pending. When they pay on UPI, mark it settled. It does not get mixed into a flat or trip split unless you add it there on purpose.

When to use udhaar vs a group expense

Use a group expense when several people shared a bill. Use udhaar when you lent money to one person — a personal transfer, not a split of dinner.

  • You paid their share of rent and they will return it
  • You sent money for an emergency
  • They asked to borrow until salary day

NestSplit does not move the money

The app does not take a cut or run a wallet. You pay on UPI or bank transfer like you already do. NestSplit only keeps the note so the pending amount does not live in your head.
